As part of the conference Mensch und Computer, a joint seminar for doctoral students from the various sub-disciplines of human-computer interaction will be held on the Sunday before the conference. Here, ongoing or recently completed doctoral projects will be presented, commented on by experts from the disciplines involved and discussed together. This is intended not only to support individual theses, but also to promote exchange between doctoral researchers. Furthermore, doctoral students receive guidance and suggestions for their own work through the presented dissertation projects.
Participation in the seminar requires an invitation. If you are interested in an invitation, you should be working on or have just completed a dissertation in the thematic area of the Mensch und Computer conference (including interaction design, usability, CSCW and other areas). Please apply by July 04 2022 with a short presentation on the context of your dissertation (motivation, problem, solution, ( preliminary ) results) on a maximum of four pages. Submission takes place via the conference management system. The submitted synopses are only for selection and preparation of all participants for the seminar and will not be published.
If you are invited to participate, you must register regularly for the day of the PhD seminar or for the whole conference – or apply to participate free of charge as a student volunteer.
